Hello everybody!

This July, new comer from Canada and new egg shell from Hungary...

Here is a young francophone artist, Virginie Hamel : as numerous french speakers in Yukon, coming originally from Québec, she went towards west of Canada and decided to stay in Yukon.
We met her through the AFY (Association Franco-Yukonnaise), association officially recognised by the Yukon territorial government as the representative and support of french speakers in Yukon.

We appreciate her compositions, her way to bring closer dissimilar things and her humor when choosing titles!

Egg carving Here is an interview of Christel Assante , one of our most famous artist in France and abroad! She carves and paints all sorts of egg shells from quail to ostrich egg shells, and attend numerous shows either in Compiègne (decorated egg shell show of Compiègne) or Nimes (Nimagine, the art crafts show in Nimes.

On the agenda side:

- 14th of July : we exhibit decorated eggs in Gimont (32) in "Bourse aux Collections" and "Salon du Livre de Gimont"
- 29th of August : we exhibit decorated eggs in Montclar de Quercy (81)
- 1-2nd of October : we install the exhibition of 3 artists from Yukon in Centre Européen du Patchwork (Sallèles d'Aude, 11) : Louise Hardy (felts), Karen Rhebergen (Batik) and Faye Chamberlain (Hair Tufting). This exhibition will start with a vernissage where we expect attendance of Louise and will last 3 mois, until Christmas.

Next month, you will have the opportunity to see new batiks from Karen Rhebergen and on the eggs side, Ludmilla will present her new works : chick painted on goose egg shells (!) and two ostrich eggs painted in the traditionnal slavonic style, full of colors and simplicity, .

See you soon!
