Karen was born in Napanne, Ontario. For as long as she can remember, her dream was to be an artist. Each community she's lived in across Canada, and each region she's visited has been an inspiration in its own right. Now, she calls Whitehorse home, and no place has captured her senses as quickly as the Yukon. Karen's present medium of choice is batik, as it seems to parallel life with its spontaneity, is unexpected wrinkles and its joyful surprises.
